Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree from John Carroll University, then moved on to attend the University of Notre Dame, where I earned my master's degree in Elementary Education. I have now been teaching elementary school for nearly a decade. I have worked with students in both elementary school and middle school, and I also have experience working with students with special needs like ADHD and Asperger's. I'm comfortable tutoring a variety of subjects, including math, reading, writing, nutrition, science, and grammar. I can also help students prepare for the lower or middle level ISEE and the elementary or middle level SSAT. I truly enjoy teaching, and I take care to tailor my teaching style to match my students' preferred learning style. I try to make each session interesting by helping my students form connections to the subjects they find challenging. When students engage with a topic, they become invested and interested in previously intimidating concepts. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and as a tutor, I hope to pass this along to my students. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing and watching sports, reading, listening to music, and exercising.
